Project Background
Elderly Care Connect was developed as a collaborative academic project by Peter Nyongesa and John Wamukota during their third year of studies at Maseno University, where they are pursuing degrees in Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science.
The project was born out of a recognition of the challenges faced by elderly individuals in accessing care and support, particularly in communities where traditional support systems are changing due to urbanization and other socioeconomic factors.
By leveraging technology to connect donors with elderly individuals in need, the platform aims to create a transparent, efficient, and impactful way to provide support where it's needed most.
